Admission Arrangements
Little Heaton CE Primary School is a voluntary controlled school that is part of Cranmer Education Trust. We follow the Rochdale Local Authority guidelines and places are allocated from the local authority.
Choosing a school for your child is one of the most important decisions you will make. You are welcome to look at our wonderful school and facilities. Please contact the school office, on 0161 672 0555 to arrange a visit.
Our current numbers for 2024/2025 and 2025/2026 academic years are 30 children in each class from Reception to Year 6.

Appeals
Where the Council is unable to offer a place because the school is oversubscribed, parents/legal guardians have the right of appeal to an independent panel set up under the Schools Standards and Framework Act 1998 as amended by the Education Act 2002 and subject to the School Admissions Appeal Code 2022.
Parents/legal guardians should notify the Council within 20 school days of being refused a place of their intention to lodge an appeal.
Parents/legal guardians have the opportunity to submit their case to the panel in writing and also to attend to present their case. Parents/legal guardians will normally receive 10 school days’ notice of the place and time of the hearing. Further information about any appeal will be provided by the independent clerk to the appeals panel.
Please note that this right of appeal against the school’s decision does not prevent you from making an appeal in respect of any other school.
