Hello, welcome to Year 1’s web page! We hope to share all our wonderful learning experiences in the classroom, keeping you informed and updated of the things we are doing within school and how you can help at home.

Miss Airey is the class teacher.  The Teaching Assistant is Mrs Onley.

If you would like to talk to one of us about your child's learning please leave a message at the office and we will contact you as soon as we can.

As we continue to help each child learn, there are many ways you can help at home.

Through:

• Practicing number bonds to 10 and 20 (videos are a great way to help them learn!)
• Counting, everywhere and everything.
• Making up stories (both the adults and children). These could be about books, toys or something that happens to you. Just use your imagination.
• Sharing books with your child and talking about the pictures and text within them.

We are really excited about the challenges and learning adventures which will occur as we begin our journey in Key Stage 1 as enthusiastic Year 1’s.
